Course Description

Immerse yourself in the principles and practice of ecological design and Zen Buddhism in this 3-day weekend retreat at Diamond Hill Monastery on the beautiful 50 acre campus of Providence Zen Center.  Appropriate for both new and experienced practitioners of both zen and permaculture, this retreat offers you the opportunity to explore and awaken your senses, investigate your life and relationships to the world through meditative practices, and exercise permaculture principles to integrate your inner and outer landscapes. Engage in the revolutionary act of understanding your true self and discover the creative possibilities for a more regenerative local food system and more integrated compassionate culture.

Course Includes:

  • 30 hours of instruction, hands-on workshops, discussion and zen practice
  • 3 days of inspiration and permaculture and zen immersion
  • comfortable lodging in beautiful zen monastery on 50 forested acres with walking trails
  • 9 delicious, locally-sourced, vegetarian zen meals
